How to Fix the Shift+Ctrl+Click Verisium Bug in PoE 2

If you’ve been grinding away in Path of Exile 2, you know how crucial Verisium is for your progression. But lately, a brutal bug associated with vendor shortcuts has been quietly wiping out players' hard-earned stockpiles. If you are trying to figure out why your resources suddenly vanished into thin air—or want to make sure it never happens to you—here is exactly what is going on and how to fix it.

How the Bug Works

Most of us rely on muscle memory when dealing with vendors. Using the standard Shift + Ctrl + Left Click shortcut is the go-to method for bulk-buying items quickly.

However, a serious issue popped up when purchasing Liquid Verisium from Farrow. If you used that maximum bulk shortcut, the game would instantly delete your entire stockpile of raw Verisium—sometimes erasing upwards of 120,000+ units in a single click.

Instead of processing the bulk trade correctly and giving you the matching amount of Liquid Verisium, the game glitched out. It treated the massive dump of resources as a single, base transaction, rewarding you with a measly 1 to 5 Liquid Verisium while your entire raw stockpile completely vanished.

Immediate Fixes & Workarounds1. Download the 0.5.4 Hotfix

The good news is that Grinding Gear Games caught wind of this and officially deployed a solution in the 0.5.4 Hotfix.

To permanently fix the bug:

• Completely close your game client.
• Let Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the standalone PoE 2 launcher download and fully install the latest update.
• Once installed, the vendor shortcuts are safe to use again, and your raw materials won't be eaten.
  
  

2. Manual Single-Clicking (If You Can't Update Yet)

If you are currently in the middle of a map, running a juicy endgame zone, or simply can't restart your game client right away, do not use the bulk shortcut.

Until you can apply the hotfix, buy your Liquid Verisium by individually clicking the items. You can also use standard, smaller stack-splitting modifiers, but avoid the maximum Shift+Ctrl shortcut entirely so you don't accidentally trigger the resource wipe.

3. Reset Farrow in Your Hideout

A few players have noticed that even after downloading the patch, Farrow's vendor menu can occasionally stay visually bugged or glitchy due to lingering client cache.

If things still look weird, open up your hideout editor, dismiss Farrow, and then re-add him to your instance. If that doesn't clear it up, a quick restart of your PC will wipe out the temporary cache data and get everything running smoothly again.
