In Aion 2, progression is not just about leveling up or getting stronger gear in isolation. Your overall strength is measured through two key systems: Gear Score (GS) and Combat Power (CP). Gear Score often acts as a gate for high-end content like dungeons and PvE activities, while CP reflects your real combat performance based on stats, upgrades, and account-wide progression. To progress efficiently and reach the 2400+ power range quickly, you need a balanced approach that combines leveling, gear optimization, and long-term account development. 1. Push to Level 45 as Fast as PossibleThe early game is all about speed. Reaching level 45 unlocks most of the systems that actually contribute to meaningful power growth. Your main focus should be the Main Story (yellow quests). These give the best experience and guide you through core systems naturally. If you hit a wall—like a boss that feels too strong or a sudden damage check—don’t slow down your progress. Temporary buffs such as food, scrolls, or basic consumables can easily bridge the gap and keep you moving. If you still fall behind, fill in the gaps with side content like regional quests, sealed dungeons, and stronghold missions. These not only give EXP but also early gear and upgrade materials that help stabilize your build. 2. Upgrade Gear the Smart Way (Not the Expensive Way)A common mistake new players make is dumping all resources into one weapon or one armor piece. In reality, that slows down your total CP growth. A much more efficient method is even upgrading: Bring all gear pieces to +1 first, then +2, then +3, and so on. This approach spreads your enhancement value evenly across your entire character, resulting in faster overall CP gain per resource spent. Also important: - Always dismantle low-quality gear instead of selling it
- Use dismantled materials for enchantment stones
- Upgrade green gear to +10 before morphing it into blue-grade gear
- Continue the same cycle into higher tiers once available
The morphing system is especially important because it turns early investment into long-term progression, letting you recycle gear into stronger tiers without starting from zero. 3. Don’t Ignore Horizontal Progression SystemsA large portion of your early Gear Score doesn’t actually come from gear drops. It comes from account-wide systems that many players overlook. Once you reach level 45, it becomes extremely efficient to go back and complete exploration content. Key systems include: Devanion Boards
These provide one of the most direct Gear Score boosts in the game. Every point you unlock contributes directly to your total GS. Shugo rewards and exploration activities are key sources of progression here. Feather Collection
Feathers scattered across major zones can be collected and exchanged for upgrades. They provide both stat increases and material value, making them a reliable mid-game power source. Pantheon Statues
Placing collected statues into your Pantheon grants permanent passive stat boosts. Even low-tier items contribute, and over time these bonuses add up significantly to your CP. Together, these systems can add hundreds of Gear Score without requiring any high-end dungeon farming. 4. Focus on Key Dungeons at the Right TimeOnce your Gear Score reaches roughly 1000–1400, you can start focusing more heavily on structured dungeon farming. This is where progression begins to accelerate again. Different content becomes relevant at different thresholds: ContentRecommended GSWhat You Get
Draupnir Expedition~1000 GSEarly armor sets and foundational PvE gear
Transcendence Dungeons1650+ GSArcana Cards and strong mid-game progression boosts
Vakron Sky Island (Conquest)1600–1800+ GSHigh-value gold gear for fast CP growth
The key here is not rushing the hardest content immediately, but farming each tier efficiently until your stats are ready for the next jump. 5. Use PvP Systems to Fill Gear GapsIf dungeon drops are slow or inconsistent, PvP becomes an important alternative progression path. Abyss Points (AP) earned from battlefields, daily tasks, and supply missions can be spent on PvP gear and accessories. Accessories are especially important because they provide strong stat value for relatively low cost. Even if you are primarily a PvE player, these items remain useful deep into the endgame. Prioritize: - Accessories first for best stat efficiency
- Consistent AP farming through daily PvP activities
- Mixing PvE and PvP gear for balanced progression
This hybrid approach helps smooth out RNG gaps from dungeon farming and keeps your CP steadily climbing.
